၂၉၀။ အနည္းငယ္ေသာ ခ်မ္းသာကို စြန္႔လြတ္ျခင္းေၾကာင့္ ၾကီးက်ယ္ျပန္႔ေျပာေသာခ်မ္းသာကို ရလိမ့္မည္ဟု ျမင္ခဲ့မူ ၾကီးက်ယ္ျပန္႔ေျပာေသာ ခ်မ္းသာကိုျမင္ေသာ ပညာ႐ွိသည္ အနည္းငယ္ေသာခ်မ္းသာကို စြန္႔လႊတ္ရာ၏။
290. If by sacrificing a lesser pleasure when one may see a greater pleasure, the wise person leaves aside lesser pleasure looking to the greater.

291. The person who causes pain to others to obtain happiness for him, having entangled in the bonds of hatred, will never be free from hatred.

၂၉၂။ ျပဳသင့္ျပဳထိုက္ေသာအမႈကို မျပဳလုပ္ဘဲစြန္႔ပစ္၍ မျပဳသင့္ မျပဳထိုက္ေသာ အမႈကိုမူကား ျပဳလုပ္ကာ မာန ေထာင္လႊားလ်က္ ေမ့ေလ်ာ့သူတို႔အား အာသေ၀ါတရားတို႔ တိုးပြားကုန္၏။
၂၉၃။ အၾကင္သူတို႔ကား ကာယဂတာသတိကို အျမဲေကာင္းစြာ အားထုတ္ၾကကုန္၏၊ ထိုသူတို႔သည္ မျပဳသင့္ မျပဳထိုက္ေသာအမႈကိုမျပဳ မမွီ၀ဲကုန္၊ ျပဳသင့္ျပဳထိုက္ေသာအမႈ၌ မျပတ္ျပဳလုပ္ၾကကုန္၏။ သတိ႐ွိသူ ေကာင္းစြာ အျပားအားျဖင့္သိမႈ သမၸဇဥ္ဉာဏ္႐ွိသူတို႔အား အာသေ၀ါတရားတို႔ ခ်ဳပ္ျခင္းသို႔ေရာက္ကုန္၏။
292. By not doing what should be done and what is not to be done is done; sinful desires will increase in the person who is arrogant and proud.
293. Those who have well undertaken, constantly mindful with regard to the nature of the body, who do not attend to what is not to be done, persevering in what is to be done. Of those mindful and attentive; mental desires come to an end.

294. Killing mother (as craving) and father (as pride), and two warrior kings (as grasping and rejecting), killing a kingdom with all its subjects (sense-avenues and sense-objects), the Arahant goes without any grief.
295. Killing mother (as craving) and father (as pride), and two learned kings (as eternalism and nihilism), killing five eminent men (as sensuality, ill-will, stupefaction, excitation followed by regret and doubt), the Arahant goes untroubled.

It is also hard to live with incompatible ones. And samsara travelers are trapped in suffering. So be not a traveler. And be not trapped in suffering.

[tattha tatth’到處] [eva如此] [pūjito禮敬(陽單主格, pp.)].
信者已以戒完全行,已移入名譽及財富;他前往到任何地點,到處如此已被禮敬。
[1] 難出家:DhA.:duppabbajjanti appam va mahantam va bhogakkhandhabceva batiparivattabca pahaya imasmim sasane uram datva pabbajjam nama dukkham.(捨棄少量或大量的財產和親戚的圈子,在教中給予出家為苦。)
[2] 難全面喜樂:DhA.:Durabhiramanti evam pabbajitenapi bhikkhacariyaya jivitavuttim ghatentena aparimana-silakkhandha- gopana-dhamm-anudhamm-appatipatti-puranavasena abhiramitum dukkham.(如此出家,不全面喜樂於努力以乞食行為生計,住於填滿無量的戒蘊,保護法隨法的行道。)
[3] 本偈頌為質多羅長者聽聞具壽舍利子說法證得第三果之後,由於他慷慨布施,天神要不斷補充他的供養物,具壽阿難有疑問請教有幸者,有幸者答覆的話。(參見DhA)
အသေႏၲတၳ န ဒိႆႏၲိ၊ ရတၱႎ ခိတၱာ ယထာ သရာ။
၃၀၄။ ဟိမ၀ႏၲာေတာင္သည္ အေ၀း၌တည္ေသာ္လည္း ထင္႐ွားသကဲ့သို႔ သူေတာ္ေကာင္းတို႔သည္ အေ၀း၌ပင္ ေနေသာ္လည္း ထင္႐ွားကုန္၏၊ ညဥ့္အခါ ပစ္လိုက္သည့္ ျမားတို႔သည္ မထင္႐ွားကုန္သကဲ့သို႔ သူယုတ္မာတို႔သည္ အနီး၌ ႐ွိေနၾကကုန္ေသာ္လည္း မထင္႐ွားကုန္။
304. The virtuous persons are visible from far away, like the Himalaya Mountains; but the sinful though very near are in darkness, invisible like arrows shot in the night.
ဧေကာ ဒမယမတၱာနံ၊ ၀နေႏၲ ရမိေတာ သိယာ။
၃၀၅။ မပ်င္းမရိမူ၍ တစ္ေယာက္တည္းေန တစ္ေယာက္တည္းအိပ္ တစ္ေယာက္တည္း လွည့္လည္ သြားလာလ်က္ မိမိကိုယ္ကို ဆံုးမျပီးလွ်င္ တစ္ေယာက္တည္း ေတာင္၌ ေမြ႔ေလ်ာ္ရာ၏။
305. Without sloth, the person stays alone, sleeps alone, and walks alone, controls by oneself, would be delighted in the solitude of the forest / mountain.
304 Dure santo pakasenti,
Himavanto va pabbato,
asant’ettha na dissanti,
rattim khitta yatha sara.

諸真善者在遠處明示,如喜馬拉雅山;諸無真善者在此處不被見,像在夜間已被拋的諸箭。
305 Ekasanam ekaseyyam,
eko caram atandito,
eko damayam attanam,
vanante ramito siya.

單獨正在行、未倦怠的單獨者在林邊,應是已使單獨坐、單獨臥、被調伏的自我喜樂。
